Finding Inspiration

I aim to capture the flower in a simple and evocative form. I’m inspired by the evolving relationship between humans and nature, and the different ways in which we have interpreted flowers over time to communicate meaning. My drawings embrace simplicity, romance and the influence of each passing season.

Tulips in stages of flowering 🌷
Beautiful bluebells everywhere! They are one of my favourites. Do you have a favourite flower?
The petals are slowly dropping off the last of the tulips. As the petals fall they reveal new forms which I’ve tried to capture over the last week or so through a series of sketches.
Did you know that all my original sketches are double mounted to a standard 8” x 10”? Meaning that you can fit them into a frame straight off the shelf!
